Got that knitty feeling....

Well, I am down to the last load or two of laundry, all the bedding plus a few of our blankets that I didn't think that we would need to keep out like we have been. Although with the colder and rainy weather we have been having maybe I will lbe proved wrong.
I have gotten the main section of black done on the butterflies wing on Butterfly Expressions. I now am working on a section of blended color on the wing now. One strand of dark purple and one strand of dark blue. I like it, just makes me really hope that i have sorted colors correctly! It is very pretty, almost makes me want to keep it for myself.....almost.
Went and looked for some knitting patterns online this morning. I found quite a few. Hopefully something that I can use. I am DEFINATELY going to have to get some prettier yarn though!! I can't wait to get started!!!!!

Kind person
Your wise quote is: "Be kind to unkind people,
they probably need it the most" by
Ashleigh Brilliant.
You try to look beyond apperance, try to give
people second chances and are probably very
kind. Understanding is your biggest personality
trait, and thoose you can see through should be
grateful. If they aren't already. You detest
narrow minded people, because they can't see
what's really there. Facades is not your thing
and you strive to always be who you really are.

The Weekend

Well as you can see from that last automated post I have decided to get rid of blogger comments and try haloscan. We will see how it goes.
The inlaws left around 6:30 this morning and I have to say that it was a pretty plesant visit. I think that the thought that she may just get out of the middle of nowhere where they are now did some good for the mil! It was a very plesant visit and we actually had some good talks about some things that were troubling me (unrelated to the inlaws I might add).
Today I am trying to stay awake and get some laundry done. Hoping to get some stitching in before I fall asleep too lol! Also on the crafting front I have found one of the ladies in church who has agreed to teach me how to knit! I am so excited, I have been wanting to learn for many years now!
This weekend was a busy one while the inlaws were away too, my parents decided to move to a different bedroom in the house so while K and I were there we got to help move all the heavy furniture and get things rearranged. The highlight of the rearranging was when the miniature poodle, Teddy, saw himself in the mirror on the dresser and started barking and growling at that other dog for a good five minutes!
Thankfully the new memory card for the digital camera came in on Monday, I put it to good use this weekend. I plan to take a picture of my progress on Butterfly Expressions and then get all my pictures downloaded and maybe I will share a few of my favorites with you. We got some adorable pictures of my little niece! Managed to grab a couple of her very camera shy big brother too, he kept running away yelling you can't get my picture na na na na boo boo! What a nut!
Well, time to run and get another load of laundry going too......anyone care to come and finish it up for me? Please???

Stitching Blogger's Question

Have you ever been asked to do model stitching?
Did you do it? If so, what was your compensation? (money, stash,
etc.) If not, why not?
If you haven't done it, if you were asked would you? Why or why
not?
I have never done any model stitching and I don't think that I would if I was asked. I do my stitching as a relaxation kinda thing, and for fun, and wouldn't want to turn it into work. Besides the fact that I don't do well with deadlines and stitching as I only get to stitch here and there with the kids here and if we have anything going on in the evenings there goes my stitching time as well. Also I don't feel confident enough in my stitching, I think I would have a panic attack and have to start over or redo things wayyyyyy too many times. Giving a project as a gift is one thing, I just don't think I could handle the pressure.

Finished!

Last night I finally finished Home of the Brave. I will get it washed up and post a picture of it later today. I am so excited to have this done! This has been a long project for me, of course I did have to stop and get a birth announcement done for my new niece, so that slowed things down too. Now I can start working on my next project, the thank you gift for some good friends. I will have to post a picture of what that will look like too. This one is a first as it has some of the design printed on the fabric already.
Well, almost time to take the monsters to school. More later.

I'm Tired.

I finished up all the cross stitches on Home of the Brave, my patriotic piece, on Friday night. I also got the backstitching done one the helicopter and the two planes, now just need to get the stars done and then I can work on the wording.
It was a long weekend, I didn't get to bed until midnight or after all weekend so today I am really dragging. Trying to get laundry done too. And in a phone call with the inlaws last night we found out that they are coming up for my father in law to speak at a church about an hour/hour and a half away and they want to stay with us Thursday night, leave for his brother's house sometime on Friday, and then come back Sunday night after church and stay with us and leave for home on Monday morning. Not so bad, I just feel like nothing I do is right when my mil stays at our house, can't clean well enough, cook well enough, nothing. But of course if you knew my mil she is like supermom, she sews, she cooks, she crochets, she bakes, and don't get me wrong I love her to death, we are just not made to live in the same house lol! It is going to be a busy week too so hopefully things will all just sort of slide into place.
Well, must go and check the little monster's daiper and switch some laundry. Hopefully I can post a picture of a finished Home of the Brave soon!

Stitching Blogger's Question

Do you "stitch with the seasons?" (This could be reflected by the colors that you stitch with, the themes that you choose, or even that during your favorite season you stitch more (or less) than in others.)

I guess my way of stitching with the seasons would be in the amount I stitch. I find myself stitching the most in the spring and fall especially and summer when I am busiest I don't do as much, and in the winter I barely do any as I just don't seem to have the ambition. My colors and subject matter don't seem to change, I just keep stitching on whatever project I am working on at the time.

Frustration

Another rainy day today. Kind of a bummer that I can't get the kids out to play, but I do like seeing it rain, makes me feel kind of cozy and all I want to do is curl up with a blanket and stitch or read.
I have gotten the last soldier done on my patriotic piece and now am working on the last little section of flag. I can't wait until it is finished! In other good stitching news I won a big lot of kits off ebay yesterday. I believe it has 16 different kits. Some really small and some bigger. Two are Care Bears. I can't wait to get them in the mail!
I got some good pictures of the Awana Grand Prix, as well as some cute pictures of one of my daycare kids, and a couple pictures that my dad wanted me to take. But......for some reason my camera will not accept my memory card. It shows me a warning that says this card can not be used. ARGH!
K is looking at finding a new one, still has me worried that it will happen again.... I lost around 100 pictures! Ugh!
