CRAZY!!!!

Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote last! Real life strikes again! We have had an absolutely crazy but absolutely fun few weeks! It started out with K doing sound for a wedding at our church on a Saturday (PM did not do the service, the family of the bride are friends of some of our church members and the kids have been in Awana for years and they asked to use our church but have their Pastor do the service), the Thursday of that week we had a bridal shower for one of the girls at church, kind of fun since they had already begun to decorate for the wedding!.....but back to Saturday we also had the local Misson's graduation (it's a Christian drug and alcohol rehab type program), prom (for which I was taking pictures of PM and C's son and his date in the morning and we also left the graduation early to get pics at the Grand March!), the speaker for our Bible Conferece was flying in that night (thanks to some good friends who went to pick him up so we could make our other activities!!) and the Conference was held Sunday (during Sunday School, Morning and Evening Services), Monday, and Tuesday. Tuesday evening after the conference we had to take most of the chairs out of the auditorium and set up the track for the Awana Grand Prix! Time trials were Wednesday and the race was that next Saturday! Both went well, we had a bit of a snafu with two kids coming in a half hour late ready to race (we fit them in since we hadn't started the actual racing yet, but it caused an issue for the scoring of the races and the heats of the races themselves....but we survived!). Saturday afternoon we tore down the track and got the auditorium ready for church on Sunday and the next Wednesday brought the Awana closing program, for which I was working on a slideshow of pictures that I had taken through the year along with some music. Stress! I had to restart the whole thing two or three times and when it was finally done for some reason it would hold a couple pictures longer and almost skip the ones right after that. Oh well! Not much I could do at that point!
I have also had some Fridays off work now and have been able to go to lunch with some friends and visit a few others. Tomorrow I am headed off for an afternoon of learning how to stamp and make my own cards!
I am quite excited for that, as well as for this afternoon! I was done working about three and K just got home and we are going to go to a benefit auction for a local Christian Ranch/Camp! We went last year and came home with some neat things....I am excited to go again!
Well, time to run and take the dogs out and K wants to stop at the ATM....I'll write a more coherent post soon! And post some pictures of the Grand Prix and things!

Never a dull moment! Kids are fun!

I am feeling bad because I have not been here to blog as much as I would like, but real life has just taken over. Tater is needing a bit more of my time and I'm not complaining, he is so much fun and has gotten quite the little personality! Yesterday the little character jumped off our front porch into one of the bushes! It's not a very big jump or anything but it was funny, I could just see his little gears turning. I was standing in the yard with the other kids and K was sitting on the porch steps and I had just looked over and said "Tater don't even think about it! You come over here and come down the steps" and the next thing I know boing off he jumps into the middle of the bush, looks at K and I and starts to whine a bit! Stinker! I told him I didn't feel too bad for him, I told him not to do it! He wasn't hurt or anything, but he was stuck in the middle of the bush and couldn't get out! Yeah, that's pretty much a normal day around here lately! Tater and his older brother T keep me wondering! I love it!

Ugh drama

I've been doing alot of thinking over my little break from blogging and a few things in real life and I have come to realize a few things. I realized that there are two main people who are causing all of the "drama" in my life. I'm not writing this to necessarily "out" anyone or make myself look better than anyone else or make myself feel better, but I learned something about myself during all of this and I just feel the need to write to sort everything out, you know what I mean...I'm still trying to process a few things.
I had distanced myself from one other person late last year after twice she had gotten me mixed up in some of her drama, which her information turned out to be false both times...this person's drama was not little stuff either...at one point she had the police involved and soon after that asked me to lie to her parents about her whereabouts for her....I still have "polite conversation" with her, but I am by no means rushing out to spend a great amount of time with her...and she still seems to resent me for not lying for her. It seems as if she is running from a great number of things and my heart breaks for her. Someday she is going to make a decision that she is not going to be able to take back, and there will be something that she greatly regrets. I know she doesn't have the best home life, but who does?! I most definately did not, but you persevere (unless there is honestly some abuse or you are in physical danger) and get through it and as adults my parents and I have dealt with some things and have come to a sort of an understanding....we are not a real close knit family, I have a few members of my church family who I feel are more family than my actual family, but we have a relationship and we are doing our best.
But the two people that I am dealing with stings a bit. I deal with both of them quite often in many different church and social activities. I am not going to shut them out completely either, but it is sort of strange to look at them now....Person A has alot of family issues. I have always known that and just accepted her for who she was and have always taken some of what she says with a grain of salt. She likes to use alot of "big words" and it's a matter of self importance, but we all have our moments and I can look past that and just know when I need to give myself a little space. But these moments are becoming more often and "bigger". She has started spreading false things about some of my closest church family because she does not agree with some decisons that have been made. Her family has been causing more issues with more and more people in the church, causing hurt feelings and they have said some very unkind things. She is one who "answers" our Pastor during his message, lots of Amens, yes', and mmhmmms.
Person B is someone who I have spent quite alot of time with in the past. I have found lately that she is becoming very judgemental. Things are always black and white. And very harshly, very quickly, and almost angrily. I understand that we need to hold ourselves to certain standards I guess...but if a person has an issue she may judge them as non Christian. If a person drinks, well they must not be a Christian or not a very good one and she will look down on them from then on. It's a holier than thou type of attitude. And she has made statemtents about how she is glad that she doesn't have this issue like that person or make comments condemning that issue with such force....
She is not shy about spreading these judgements either and one her mind is made it is set, you can NOT convince her otherwise! She has now started hanging out with person A and another family that person A hangs out with alot and they have started spreading stories together now. And again this newest story is about one of the people I am closest to in my church family, and indirectly about a second. Person B did not even come and ask me if it was true, she just latched on to it and went running. When she did ask me about it the question came out as more of an accusation, with this tone. She was all "What's the deal about....." and giving me this look. I don't know if she believes what I had to tell her, but I told her the truth. She talks about Person A behind her back all the time. I'm sure that she is talking about me too, but that's not what hurts. I'm the type of person that you can say what you want about me, it hurts, but whatever....but when you start messing with/talking about my friends/family that is when I start getting upset and want to "fight back".
I honestly feel like I am back in high school. People are stirring up drama just to stir up drama. Just to have something to talk about, something to fuss about. Honestly, if this is how Christians are behaving how is this any different from the "world"??!! How is this showing Christ to the watching world??
I am thankful for the wonderful Christian examples that I do have in my life. I am thankful for the wonderful relationships that I have in my life and the terriffic friends and family. I just hate the drama and having to distance myself...I am happy to have some wonderful friends that I can lean on during this time and for all of you reading all of my blabbering while I try to understand and sort it all out. It's been a year of learning for me this year, about others and about myself....I hope and pray that I become a better person and a better Christian for it!

Wonderful day off!!

I had a great day off yesterday! I really didn't get anything accomplished, but it was nice to be out running errands and just hanging out with the hubby and our best friends! We started the day off by sleeping in and just after we had gotten up and around my Dad called and K and my Dad were off to work on the truck that Dad has in our backyard. Just as they finished PM needed K to go and check out a moped that he was thinking of buying...since I had the day off I tagged along and got to visit with a couple people from church who just happened to be uptown at the same time. It was nice to get out and visit with some adults!
After we had lunch with another friend (during which I hopefully stopped some drama from going on, but that's a whole other story....ugh!) K and I went for a nice little drive. We both like to go for drives, but for two very different reasons! K likes to see if he can find new roads and new places to go and see if he can get himself lost. I like to take the camera along and stop along the way and get pictures of flowers or whatever we find along the way.
I got to do a little shopping at a consignment botique that just opened up in town and found a brand new dress and two tops for ten dollars!
About 5:30 PM picked us up and we went for an all you can eat chicken/fish fry in town. It was good! After a quick stop back at the house to drop off one of the boys we were off to do some shopping in a neighboring town. We had a great time! We went to Slumberland Furniture to look at a chair....the most fun was sitting in all of the floor models and checking out all of the different colors and fabrics that they had....I found a couple of comforter sets that I would love to have for my bed too!! After that we were headed to Wal Mart...we met a few people from town and our church while we were there and found some good deals too.
Today I have been catching up with the work that I didn't get done yesterday. K's brother and his two kids stopped for a visit and we are going to go to my parents' house for supper because it is my Dad's birthday today.
They are predicting some more snow and winter weather for us Sunday into Monday. I hope it misses us! I am SO tired of snow!

Finishing projects!

Wow, this week has flown by! Mr. Tater has been a bit clingy and I think that he may be teething...maybe some two year molars...and I have had a couple of big projects that I have been working on for church. I think that both of those projects have come to an end for now. One is for our Awana program. We were looking into buying a new computer program for our recordkeeping which would also give us a contact list with the childrens' pictures to put on a laptop. We have had a couple cases where it would have been very helpful already...one little girl's parents were late picking her up and she wouldn't tell our Commander her name. She finally told me her name, but she had a hard time remembering her last name and she didn't know her new phone number (apparently they had just moved) and we had another situatio where we couldn't get ahold of Mom and Dad and we could have used the emergency contact, but the person with the informational papers had gone home. I printed off 20 pages of reports to show our Commander and with a 30 day trial I started entering information and just today got the order out in the mail to order our subscription key.
The other project was working with a few people so we can get our church website up and running. I have written quite a few emails back and forth between the person who is going to host our website and the person who is now going to put the information up. I now have to burn another cd of pictures for the website and I think my part is done.
I am still working on the hymn book index and trying to catch up again on laundry and printing birthday and anniversary cards for this week but I am seeing an end to it all!
I got off early this afternoon, 4pm!, and found out that I have tomorrow off too! K has the day off and it sounds like we have a couple of errands with PM, but other than that we don't have much planned at all. I like those day!
I have a couple other little things to work on like this week's PowerPoint and hymns, writing a few emails, and looking for some music for PM. Nothing that will take alot of time, but just enough to keep me busy.
Sounds like we will have Chinese for supper and then we are off to prayer meeting tonight.
Hope you all are having a great day!!!

Many projects

Today is a slow day kid wise, but not project wise! I am trying to help out a friend, their computer crashed and they used Outlook Express as their email. I was in the process of getting them switched over to a Yahoo email address, but I was not quick enough. They can't remember the password and now I am working on figuring out how to access the address book. So far I have found how to back up the address book, but not about what to do if you forgot your password.
I'm also trying to get a song typed up for Awana tonight. I say try because last week we had everything ready and then we get to church and the computer will not work. It must have been the month for computers because we know of about three other computers that crashed! K and another friend got together and worked on it a bit and it seems to be running now, so we'll see! Not to mention the song is recorded from an old tape to a cd so it is not the easiest to understand!
I am feeling a bit better with my cold today. I am still pretty congested but I don't feel so tired. Hopefully I am on the downslide with this!
Well, I better keep working or it won't get done....have a geat day all!

Hello and kid funnies!

I meant to blog yesterday, but the kids kept me so busy I didn't get a chance to....and after the kids left the cold I have really kicked in and I was so tired! I got the laundry done and folded and I went to bed about nine!
I should buy stock in Kleenex!
I haven't gotten alot except for the laundry done in the last couple of weeks, so I really need to get some things done tomorrow! I only have two kids tomorrow and they are older kids so hopefully I can get them done!
Today was one of those days with the kids...T didn't take a nap, which is really strange for him and we are working on potty training Mr. Tater...well, I caught him trying to poop and after getting him on the potty and him proceeding to have a melt down I put his diaper back on, I figured that it wasn't worth tormenting him. I kept an eye on him and when he did go, oh. my. word. He had it up his back, down his legs, in his socks! I took everything off and wiped him down a bit and immediately took him up for a bath! He was happily splashing in the tub and I look down and asked him, "Tater, Why??" He looks up at me with those great big eyes and says..."Because!" I just had to laugh! His other recent funny was on Friday. I was supposed to have the day off and I was going to clean, but his Dad called and said that Mom was sick, and I agreed to take him. Well, I wasn't getting my house cleaning done and Tater found the dust on the tv and I told him not to play in the dust and he looks at me with his hands out and says "It butaful!!"

Catching up

Things are getting a bit better around here...the weather has been a big help. I am still struggling with a few things, some of it real life that I really can't post here. I have to say that I have a great group of friends, in real life and here on the computer, and I am very thankful for all of you!
I am staying busy...this weekend we did some spring cleaning in the house. We cleaned carpets and folded laundry, cleaned the bathrooms and did some tax preparation, it has been a productive weekend!
Last weekend we had a Ladies Day Away at church, where we all get together and have home made cinnamon rolls for breakfast, do our crafting or other projects, have a salad lunch, and more crafting. Some wonderful ladies there were reteaching me how to crochet and I have now almost finished a scarf and started an afghan in crochet.
I have been reading your blogs and keeping up, and I hope to start posting regularly again...sorry for being so dramatic and a pain in the neck!

Still

Still not feeling very well and dealing with some grumpy kiddos and a "lovely" winter weather advisory here, but I am going to turn my comments back on. Praying that I find God's leading in this and that I will be stronger in Him for it!

A vent....don't feel you have to read....alot of negativity....

I've been hesitant to write too much here lately. I honestly don't know what is going on, if it's just me or what, but I have been in such a funk lately. Every time I start to feel a little better I feel like something comes flying in and knocks me back down again.

In no way do I want to come on here and be all negative and bring every one else down or make it seem like I am fishing for compliments or being a drama queen or anything so I have just stayed pretty quiet....maybe that's the wrong thing to do though too, maybe I do just need to sit down and write it all out, vent away and then maybe I'll feel better. I don't know.

Where do I even start....there's the stress of K's job. He missed the last round of lay offs by eleven months...they laid off everyone who had been working there for less than 12 years and he had been there for 12 years and 11 months. We were so thankful that he decided to graduate early and go right to work! They had another meeting after that saying that there was a pay freezed for this year, no bonuses, fine he still has a job, not a big deal. Well, yesterday he comes home and says that they had another meeting and they are only working four day weeks now, Fridays off. It's getting scary, how long until they decide they are going to shut down completely...my two daycare families can not support us, no way we could make the bills.

Then there have been the health issues...nothing major but just enough to get a person down and really feeling tough. K or the kids shared whatever stomach bug had been going around and my stomach was just beginning to feel better when I started with another issue....and my back has still been bothering me with my hip out. Add to that me falling down the icy front steps on my bottom yesterday morning and it's been so much "fun". Today is the best I have felt for a while now, but I still have a nagging soreness in my back, which I am guessing is from the fall since I really didn't lift anything yesterday.

And maybe it's all that getting me down, but I feel that I have done something to offend my best friend. He (yes, my best friend is a guy....no there is nothing else going on....sorry just another conversation I am tired of having to have and explain things....and my mood.....) anyway, he has been rather quiet and not talking much to me at all, almost feel like I am being avoided. I know that he has some issues going on with family at home too, but just feels "off" does that make any sense? I ABSOLUTELY HATE offending and/or disappointing anyone, but ESPECIALLY him! He is older than I am and I look up to him in many more ways than just a best friend. I look to him as an example, he is honestly more like the big brother I never had and is such a strong Christian that he makes me want to have that kind of walk with the Lord and that kind of relationship. He is also a very talented musician and as I struggle through piano lessons and trying to sing in church, again, he is my example to follow and lately I don't feel like I have been doing a very good job in either one of these areas. I honestly just feel like a failure. It hurts so bad to think that I have done something to hurt anyone, but especially him, and I have no idea what or how to fix it! I just feel stuck!

I am struggling in my Awana group. My problem child from two years ago is in my group again and I feel that I have to take more time to discuss issues/discipline/deal with her and I am so not enjoying my time with the kids this year. Last week was a little better because the group that I share with another leader was so small and I got to go and float to two other groups and take pictures in the Sparks game time.

I haven't even felt much like editing my pictures or really taking any pictures. I just feel pretty down right now. I don't know what to do, I'm giving it to God and hoping that there is something to learn from all of this. I don't see it right now, but I am sure that God has a plan.

Sorry if you have wasted time reading all of this blahness! Honestly, if I can figure out how I am going to disable comments for this post too, I didn't write it so I could get people to feel sorry for me, I am hoping that just getting it all out will make it a little easier to deal with....

Busy and playing catch up

I am finally getting things caught up around the house. I was just feeling that I was getting caught up before and then I got flooded...K was home sick with food poisoning/flu we haven't really figured out what he had, basketball games, daycare kids sick, me not feeling well, and just trying to sort out some things in my head.
I am probably about halfway through with the laundry....but I ran out of laundry detergent and it works out well, because I wouldn't get much done with Tater here anyway. I go the three or four baskets of clean laundry that were sitting in the second bedroom put away yesterday. I got all of my cards made for last week and this week. I even went through some things on my desk and threw out a few things and hung the new Christmas card pictures that we got up on the side of the bookshelf where I keep them. Finally!
Sunday I even got another Zone Therapy treatmet! I loooove my Zone Therapy treatments! With the pain and problems I have in my right foot, and with the associated issues in my right hip it helps ALOT! It helps with so many other things, my sinuses, cramps, pressure in my ears, my mood in general....and it is so relaxing! I sleep like a rock for at least three nights after a treatment! It has also helped that I finally got my favorite comforter back on the bed! With K being sick I had pulled all the bedding off to wash and Lysoled the mattress and everything just to be safe. I had another comforter on the bed that I don't like as much, it's not as warm and it's sort of falling apart so besides not just being comfortable I was cold.
I am hoping to do some more catching up on my Bible reading this afternoon/evening. I have kept up with the Daily Bread Devotional reading, but the reading through the Bible in a year I am behind in. The kiddos are napping now and I have done my devotional reading for the day so maybe after prayer meeting I can get smore more reading done tonight.
I am still reading all of your blogs even though I haven't been commenting much. I plan to change that now though, since I have finally gotten to a better place with my thoughts and my work I will be back to annoying you all again very soon!

A little catch up

The days are flying by so quickly! Every day I open a window and get ready to write a blog post and every day something happens and I never get anything written!
Things are busy, as normal, around here. Hubby's birthday is today and we are going to another basketball game!
We had a good Valentine's Day, Friday night we went to a basketball game in a neighboring town about twenty minutes away and then to Wal Mart afterwards. We finally got home around one am! Saturday I got my typing for church done and Sunday School and picked up around the house and went to a basketball game in the afternoon. The game was over around three and we decided to stop in and visit my Grandma who lives in that area. We went out for supper with her and went over to my cousin's house with her for a while because she was going to babysit his kids. We had alot of fun!
The kids have just left now and we are getting ready to head out to yet another basketball game!

I'm tired!

I am so glad that the weekend and the beginning of this week are over!! It started out well, K went to his Elders' and Deacons' Meeting and I went with C to some non conference basketball games in Wisconsin. K wasn't feeling so well Friday night, but Saturday morning was doing ok. We found out that PM wasn't feeling so well late Friday night either....we are thinking that they had a mild case of food poisonig. They both were feeling better by the middle of the day but by Sunday night K wasn't feeling well again. I think he overdid with the eating on Sunday since he was feeling better. He stayed home Monday and Tuesday from work.
Monday T came here rather than going to school too, he had croup and they were giving him nebulizer treatments and his cough was just so barky yet that his parents sent him here instead. So here I was running upstairs to check on K, taking care of T, and Tater was clingy and needed some extra attention so by the end of the day I was exhausted!
Tuesday I woke up not feelin very well, but I think it was more due to the fact that I had been taking alot of Motrin due to my back pain and pain from my "lovely" monthly cramps. I went to bed early and this morning I have been feeling better. I am still hoping to get a nap before Awana tonight!
We didn't go to the basketball game last night, J was home sick and since I had the boys that was the only game that we would be able to make it to. We are planning to go to the next game on Friday. It is in a town nearby and should be a good game!
Well, laundry is calling again and I need to get these little monkeys to settle in for nap. Laters all!

Busy weekend, Super Bowl, and scarves!

The weekend went by so quickly! Friday we headed out to a basketball game about an hour and fifteen minutes away. The other team's fans wore t shirts with Beat ****** on them. We were a bit nervous as they did beat JV, but Varsity won and they remain unbeaten!! It was a pretty exciting game! At the end of the game, some of the students were just throwing away their tshirts and others were selling their tshirts to some of our fans. I couldn't figure out why our fans would want them, but I later found out that they are going to take them to the local screen printing shop and have them put Can't on the top so they will say Can't Beat *****!
Saturday we went and watched C play with the freshman and then we went out for lunch to use a gift certificate that I got from Miss A, I man, and Little C's family for Christmas. I went for something a little different and tried a taco omlette. It was ok, the meat was pretty plain, not really "taco like". If it would have tasted more like taco meat it would have been better! Then we went shopping for B's birthday gift. I had a good idea about what I wanted to get her, I just needed the time to go and get it! I found her a picture frame that said A friend loveth at all times and printed off a couple of pictures of us in it, a magnet that said something about the laughter remaining after the ice cream is gone, and a cow wind chime. We have a story behind the cow thing.
Sunday we met at PM and C's house with one other family to watch the Super Bowl. We had a great time together! None of us were really cheering for either team, we just watched and admired all the good plays and enjoyed each others' company with alot of laughter! There was even a few golf balls hit with the putting green that PM had gotten for Christmas.
I worked just a little on the scarf this weekend. I ended up having trouble with the blue on Saturday nigh! This scarf has more ends to tuck in!! Ah well, it's almost done! And then I can start on C's and then my next project!

Kids are funny!

There must be something in the air lately! The kids have been good, but they have been WILD!! At least they are in good moods!! Mr. Tater has a new job around the house...he has figured out which button to push to turn the cordless phone on and whenever it rings he goes running yelling " Phone!! I get it!!"
Another kid funny....I just sang If You're Happy and You Know it with Miss A....well according to her the words are If You're Happy in Your Nose and Your Face and Your Shoulders! She keeps singing it over and over, I LOVE it!
I ran into a bit of a snag with C's newest scarf. I didn't realize it while I was knitting, but towards the end of the skein of the white fun fur the yarn was cut into two seperate pieces. I noticed after it had been knit into the scarf that there was a small knotted looking area and as I picked at it a bit thinking I just had to separate some of the "fur" and sort of fluff it a bit the yarn came apart into two pieces! I unknit about two rows and just threw the second pieces away as it really wasn't that much and wasn't worth knitting such a small section only to have to start the other skein a row or so later. Well, as I was reknitting one row I noticed that I had dropped one stitch in the white fun fur. With all these issues I am afraid that something will catch just right and the scarf will start to unravel! I have enough yarn to make two of these scarves, so I think I am just going to keep the first one for myself and knit the second, and hopefully problem free, scarf for C!
I did buy a little more yarn when we went to Wal Mart the other day...but I have a special project for it in mind....after that no more yarn until I get what I have knitted up!!! Oh, I almost forgot too! B gave me two skeins of pink camo yarn for my birthday as well as a basket of sewing/quilting supplies! She sewed up the neatest little sewing caddy type thing so I can sit and do my cross stitch and put it over the arm of the chair or couch and have a place to put my scissors and put my needle when I am switching floss colors! I promise pictures very soon! I have just promised myself that I will get PM's PowerPoint and my Sunday School done and put the three baskets of clean laundry away before I take pictures and post them!

Wow, this got really long!!

Wow! I really should not write when I am tired!! When I was finally able to post last night I had just gotten home from my Zone Therapy treatment...those always relax me so much and I sleep so well for the next three nights after I get a treatment! My bed was definately calling when I posted last night too! The last post made sense, but I added a sentence in later and I added it in the wrong spot!!! Ha!

I was so excited to be able to get my treatment! I have needed to get in and get one since Christmas, but with conflicting schedules and all it just didn't work out. The bones in the arch in my right foot are collapsing and it is quite painful at times. My right hip goes out and causes flare ups with the swelling and pain in my foot too. A friend of ours has started doing Zone Therapy out of an office in her home and it has done wonders for my pain and swelling as well as alot of other things like my sinuses in the winter, and those "lovely" cramps that come around once a month!

I've finally finished a big project for some friends of ours. I enjoyed working on it for the most part, and learned a few things from the experience too, so that's always a good thing! These friends of ours, and two of their kids, went to Florida for their family Christmas to their other daughter's house and took lots of pictures, of course, but with a new baby and another two or three year old running around there were lots of special pictures taken and some that they were planning on using for their family update letters that they planned on sending out. Well, when they got home their son was transferring the pictures from the memory card in the camera to the computer and he ended up deleting all of the pictures off the memory card and they did not transfer to the computer!! We found recovery software and bought it on ebay and I was able to pull the pictures off the memory card and onto my computer. Then I had to convert them from RAW files into JPEGs. Both of those were things that I had never done before and I learned alot through those processes! Then after some further discussions I ended up fixing them up a little with my Photoshop program. I took some red eyes out, fixed the color and got rid of some shadows, took the glare off of glasses a bit, and in one picture took the baby's head from another picture and put it over on the picture that was better of everyone else. And I did a couple extras in playing a little and made a cut out of a heart of their son with his two little nieces and took one picture of the two or three year old and cropped it and made it all black and white except for her bright blue eyes! Some of those things I had never done either and I really enjoyed learning new things with my program!!

I think K is thinking that I am really starting to get serious about my photography too, because he told me that he is buying me some lenses and filters on ebay for my birthday!! I was so excited! I have been wanting a couple of the ones that he is buying me for a while now! He said he would buy me a macro lense and a star filter, so that if I take a picture of like Christmas lights or something it will make a beautiful star type of pattern. There are a few others we are researching and deciding what exactly to buy too.

And of course there is basketball! I'm a bit sad, as there is only one game today and that is a 7th grade game that is away and I won't be able to make it. Maybe we will try to make it over to Wal Mart or something tonight instead. There are a few things that I have been waiting to get there that we just can't get here in town....our dog food and dog treats being a couple of them and we are getting a bit low on those things.
I tore out what I had knitted on C's new scarf. The more I looked at it the more I thought it was too wide and I would run out of the white fun fur before it was long enough. I have it back on the needles, but I have quite a bit to knit yet before I get back to where I was. I hope to work on it and get caught up again tonight. Maybe I can even sneak in a little more yarn shopping ;) haha! And of course that is dependant on how much more Wal Mart has decided to clear out of their craft section this week!

Back again

Finally, I found my way back! I say that alot don't I?! I'll post for a few days in a row and then I go missing and I find my way back and then I go missing.....really need to work on that pattern!
And again, Jen, thank you so much for the new look! It's perfect! I LOVE it! The hubby teases that I have a bit of ADD and have to change things up every so often...thanks for putting up with me!
Let's see....what's new....I started another scarf. This one is the opposite of the one that I did first for C. It is the regular blue yarn and white fun fur. I am making this one for C so she can trade them out and then I will make one for myself. If I have enough of the blue yarn left I may even try to combine the blue and white regular yarns to see how that looks. A girl can't have too many school color scarves right?! Which reminds me too....Jen, I may have asked you this before, but what are your school colors??
That reminds me, Jen, how is your knitting coming?? I hope it's going well! And I can't wait to see some pics of what you are working on! I wish that we were a bit closer so I could help you out in person! It is so much easier to show than to just tell someone!

Basketball!

Still not alot happening around here. We went to a couple of the boys basketball games last night. M played with the A and B teams. The A team lost by one in overtime and we didn't stay to see all of the B team's game because M only played the first half or so and we had to leave to make it to J's game about a half hour away. J's team was undefeated and they were playing a team that was also undefeated! It was a good game, and two tv stations from the area were there! It was close, but in the end J's team won and they are still undefeated!

Quiet

I don't have a whole lot to say today. It's pretty quiet around here, one kiddo today! I'm working on catching up on laundry (exciting huh?!) and hopefully at naptime I can get some reading done. I have been keeping up with my New Year's Resolution or goal or whatever you want to call it and I have been reading the devotional from the Daily Bread every day and I am now one day ahead in my reading the Bible in a year. I was farther ahead, but Sunday and yesterday I didn't do any more reading on that. Sunday we spent the afternoon with my parents (we hadn't seen them since Christmas) and when we got home from the evening service I was so tired that I crashed and yesterday I had kids in and out during the day and got a phone call in the afternoon that J was going to be in the area's Honor Choir and they had a concert last night. PM wasn't going and he wondered if I wanted to go along with C (the concert was about an hour away). I agreed to go and had 15 minutes to get ready after the last of the kiddos left! It was a great concert, they had three groups performing; honor band (orchestra), honor choir, and honor band. They did a wonderful job!
Nothing too terrible is going on, just a few things happening and a few discussions making me think about myself and drawing closer to God. Just feeling sort of quiet...and trying to sort things out. Pride has become a focus for me lately.
