Another project

Well I have finished 17 scarves and gotten a start on number 18, but that just wasn't enough for me lol. Besides having two latch hook projects up in the closet that I haven't finished, two counted cross stitch projects that I have started and are still sitting waiting to be finished (not to mention the countless other kits and patterns that I have waiting to be started), the tote bag for myself from the cotton yarn that I am halfway finished with, and the one for my Mom that I haven't started yet, I have decided to start another project. Ok, so it was highly suggested that I start another project. My husband's middle brother is getting married in July and MIL suggested that I cross stitch a wedding announcement for them......ok so I am a glutton for punishment and I found one to start. It is Love Wedding Record by Creative Accents. I will get a picture to post soon, I still have to download pictures from Christmas yet! Here's to hoping I can get everything finished and not go crazy from overload!!!!

Christmas craziness

Sorry that it has been so long since I really posted last. Things got really crazy with Christmas, and Christmas of course brings the inlaws visiting for about a week. My inlaws live about nine hours away in southern Missouri. I really do love my MIL, but we haven't always had the best of relationships....and it really magnifies things when you add four more people into our house for a week. Four? you ask....yep, inlaws still have two kids at home so our house gets nice and full for the holidays. They do go and spend some time at K's oldest brother's house in MN, but that also means we have to drive the hour and a half up there at least one day while they are up there to shop or what have you too. And that is besides driving up there for the whole family Christmas. And with them up we do alot of talking and catching up, lots of late nights.
This year was a good visit. My sarcastic side came out a couple times, and that actually seemed to ease things between MIL and me. It helped that I went to the Fitness Center a couple days while they were here too. I didn't much this week, I went on Monday and no one else was there from our group and then my friend K slipped on the ice and hit her head at the Fitness Center and got a concussion so she is taking the rest of the week off and with everything going on I decided to too.
The inlaws left yesterday around noon, got a phone call around ten that they were home safely. Sounds like the kids are going into the dr today sometime if possible. They both have had terrible colds the whole week they were here, sharing with some of the rest of us too.
I sent a package to Holli and Faith and I got the nicest email back, as well as a little mention in her blog, with absolutely ADORABLE pictures of Faith with the pink furry scarf! I am so glad you girls liked your package! I wish it could have been more....but you never know, you may just find some more little surprises in your mailbox when you least expect it lol!
Miss M and Mr C are back for their first day after Christmas, extrememely hyper at that! Monster won't be back until Monday, Grandpa and Grandma are watching her.
It sounds like we will be quite busy for New Years too...we had invited Pastor and family over for New Year's Eve and they called back and asked if we would like to come to their house instead and invite a few more people over. And New Year's day we don't have an evening church service so a bunch of us are going to go snow tubing at the place we go camping at during the summer.
We went to see The Chronicles of Narnia this week too, it's GREAT!!! If you have the chance go and see it! You won't regret it!
Hope you all have a very Happy New Year and K and I wish you all many blessings!

Your Elf Name Is...

Buddy Snowballer

Your Christmas is Most Like: A Very Brady Christmas

For you, it's all about sharing times with family.

Even if you all get a bit cheesy at times.

Your Christmas Song Is

Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer

Grandma got run over by a reindeer

Walking home from our house Christmas eve.

You can say there's no such thing as Santa,

But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

You're not looking to the family holiday thing...

Unless someone gets run over by a reindeer!

You Are a Minimal Christmas Tree

You're not a total Scrooge, but you feel no need to go overboard at Christmas.

Less is more, and your Christmas reflects refined quality.

You Were Nice This Year!

You're an uber-perfect person who is on the top of Santa's list.

You probably didn't even *think* any naughty thoughts this year.

Unless you're a Mormon, you've probably been a little too good.

Is that extra candy cane worth being a sweetheart for 365 days straight?

Your Christmas Stocking Will Be Filled With a Puppy

Well - one cute, soft, cuddly puppy...

And a very soiled Christmas stocking.

4:30 A.M.??? Am I crazy???

Where has the week gone????? Let's see, a quick recap of my week, Monday work and then we helped get things ready for the Awana store, Tuesday was work and then get my Awana Counsel Time message ready, Wednesday was work and then Awana, Thursday was work and then prayer meeting, and today is work and possibly a trip to Wal Mart. It all depends on how things look for K on the work front. There is a possibility that he may have a pretty full day at work as one trailer is only about half way done as of yesterday and it needs to go out tomorrow.
Wednesday I was soooooooo nervous, but I made it through my little public speaking experience with Awana Counsel time. I am SO glad that it is over! It was a bit more fun the second time around as I kind of knew what to expect, but it still isn't something I really want to do again in a big hurry!
This morning the alarm went off at the lovely hour of 4:30 and dragged myself out of bed and took K into work and then headed off to meet a group of friends at the local fitness center to check out their morning workout. When they found out that I had been taking K into work some they said instead of going back to bed (and then only getting twenty minutes or so of sleep making me pretty cranky and more tired) that I should come and work out with them. I wasn't so sure, but I really did enjoy myself! And the timing works out perfectly! If I have to take K in I can and then head out to the fitness center and get an hour or so work out in, come home, grab a shower, and be ready for the kiddos to come! I have been much more awake, surprisingly!! And I have found that I have alot more energy today! I think it is going to become a habit! It is nice to have the group to go with too, much to easy just to go back to bed if no one is there waiting for me! We even have a name for our little group, LOFT, Ladies Of Faith and Training. I just need K to go check out membership options for me. If we go through his company they will pay quite a bit, but he has to go three times a week, and it doesn't count if it is just me. Not that he would mind going, but three times a week is pushing it a bit for him with the schedule he has had lately. Hopefully I can go with him too, Monster's mom came and got her early and the rest of the crew should be leaving around four or four thirty. Yay for early Fridays!!!!!!!!!

Your Nail Polish Color is Magenta

How you're unique: You're confident - and you show everyone the true you

Why your style rocks: You have the attitude to carry the most outrageous outfits off

What this color says about you: "Look at me. I know you want to!"

You Aren't A Diva

You don't like to cause a fuss or draw attention to yourself.

You're easygoing, and you can even put up from diva behavior from others.

This makes you everyone's favorite trusty companion.

But watch out - it could also make you their favorite dormat.

You Are a Carnation

You are down to earth and grounded.

You tend to be more traditional than trendy.

Your confidence gets you through anything.

People trust you and are very loyal to you.

AAAAHHHHHHH!

Sorry for not posting....K and I were asked if one of us wanted to do a counsel time for Awana. K has already done one so guess who he voted to do the cousel time! Lets just say that I. AM. FREAKING. OUT.!!!!!!!!! Have rewritten this thing three times now, still not sure I am real happy with it, besides the fact that I have to STAND IN FRONT OF ALL THE KIDS AND DO THIS TWICE!!!!! Yep, once for the younger kids and then a second time for the older group!
You're Donner!
You're Donner...the "weird reindeer"! But
we love you that way!

Which reindeer are you?

Your 2005 Song Is

Since You've Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson

"But since you've been gone

I can breathe for the first time

I'm so moving on"

In 2005, you moved on.

Funny, I wasn't so sure that this would even relate to me, but you know I really think this fits.....
