Can I go back to bed yet?! Please!

Ugh I really want to go to bed and pull the covers over my head! Yesterday I got a call from the bank asking if we had spent 700 dollars at the Microsoft Store. Ummm NO! Then there were four charges from ITunes which I did not make. I have in the past, but not for at least six months or so. I asked them if the charges were going through, no because they had put a block on our card. Great no problem, they would issue us new debit cards and numbers. Then about twenty minutes or so later I get a call saying umm yes it is going through you need to call this number and ask them how they got your information and tell them they need to stop the transaction today. So K calls the Microsoft Store and they tell him no we can't stop that transaction it's already in progress. Joy. So he has to go to the bank this afternoon and fill out papers and all sorts of "fun" things. The Microsoft Store did give him the name and address of the joker that used our information and what he bought. So evidetnly we just bought a 32 inch plasma tv for some joker in New York. Yay. As if Christmas wasn't tight enough money wise.
And we had to deal with all this a half hour before the bank closed and we had to pick up PM and C to go to a basketball game in CC. Sooo hopefully K can get it all sorted out at the bank and Mr Joker can't get anymore money out of our account.
Awana Christmas store is tonight!! We're actually trying to fit two nights into one sort of. We will have Christmas store and backwards night as well as our birthday party for Jesus and hand out the clubbers Christmas gifts. The only thing we won't be doing is going caroling to the nursing homes/some of the elderly of our congregation. A group of us from church thought about doing that since the Awana kids aren't able to go. We'll see time wise and weather wise!
I have been busy making up the clubbers gifts...we filled 80 Christmas cups with candy and small flaslights with our Awana logo on them, put them in bags, tied them with ribbon, printed 80 star gift tags with "Merry Christmas from your Awana Leader" on them, cut them out, punched a hole, and tied them with more ribbon and curled the ribbon. It was like an assembly line in our dining room! It really helped to have yesterday off so I could just focus on those. I also got some typing done for our Pastor and now I just have to catch up on some card making, laundry, and a few emails for church.
Well...I better get to it or I won't get it done since I have to be at church a bit early to finish up some things for the Christmas store tonight yet too. Hope you all have a better day than I've had haha!

I'm posting and it's not Friday lol!

Labor Day weekend was GREAT! K took me shopping and bought me some new tops in a neighboring town and a friend had two boxes of easy piano music that she was getting rid of and gave me the first chance to go through and pick out any that I would like. I came home with one box full! I got alot of "oldies" music...books of hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's and a few from the 80's and '00's. I think there are a couple of country hits books in there too. One of my favorites has quite a few songs from Disney movies and my favorite...Return to Pooh Corner! Yeah, I'm a big kid!
We survived our first day of preschool for Mr. T and R yesterday. It will be a bit interesting about lunch time. R will be getting off the bus and Mr. T will be getting on at the same time. We will have to do lunch in two shifts. It will be a bit nicer though, I was expecting one bus to come to drop R off and a half hour or so later another one stop to pick Mr. T up. Maybe this will make things a little less hectic.
Awana really begins tonight! We had a club night last week, but no sections were said, it was a get to know you night. I've already promised the girls that they can listen to my sections as I work through the book right along with them, as long as they are doing their sections. They seemed to like that!
Hope you all had a great weekend and are having a great day today!

Catching up again!

I guess I have a thing for blogging on Fridays huh?! I have been working on a couple of big projects that had to be done this week. I completely finished the first one and did my part on the second and now that they are all done things will get back to a more "normal" schedule. Whatever that is!
Our Awana year has officially started and I have a good group of 5th grade girls. I really enjoyed my first night with them!
I am also officially done teaching Sunday School. It is going to be a change, but I look forward to what I will learn and how I will grow attending the Ladies' class. Another one of our changes this year is that we will not be having our opening singing like we have in the past. We have had to move some classes around and one is in the back of our main auditorium, where we normally hold our opening, and we don't want to interrupt the class so for now no opening. We are hoping to get one room remodeled and the class can then go back into that room and we will have our opening again. I will help with that when it starts up again as the other teacher that has worked with me is gone often, and when she is there we hope to use her to play piano with some of the music for the kids. That is also the time we use for our Junior Choir to practice and at times we have parts and we need the extra teacher to help lead groups if they have different parts.
I have picked up a bit of a new job in Awana though. We are making quite a few changes there, a new database for all of our recordkeeping (which was what one of my jobs was...to get all the clubber and leader information typed in so it would be ready for our secretaries to use on our first club night), character studies for our council times, songs to match the theme, our theme nights to match if possible....lots of new things to try! We have also split up our music between four people instead of just one person doing it. This month is my turn. We are starting out with some songs that we learned in Vacation Bible School this summer. It went really well the first night!
Well, I need to get working on some PowerPoint so I had better stop babbeling! Have a great weekend!

Where did this week go??

Wow, with this new schedule the days are just flying by! I'm still trying to get used to getting up an ho ur earlier than I had been. It's been good, I've been getting alot more done, but I have been so tired at the end of the day! Monday I ate supper and the next thing I knew I was waking up at nine to go up to bed and I had no problem getting back to sleep and slept through the night!
The schedule is changing again as there were more let go from K's job and one of my daycare Dads was let go (Little C, Slo-Mo, and Miss A's Dad). Another friend of ours was let go as well. I will be done by about 4 at the latest now. Otherwise it will be noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, one on Fridays, and three on Mondays and Wednesdays if I don't have L, Mr. T, and Tater. I don't know what will happen with the other three, their Dad was on the phone with "headhunters" all day yesterday and there has been talk about a move too. I have a few projects going on right now that I am not complaining about the extra time, but it is a hit to the pocketbook and sad to think about them moving. My daycare families are like family to us.
I am excited today...last night we recorded two radio messages and tonight we have music practice tonight!! We haven't had music practice in a LONG TIME!!! I also got some powerpoint to do after a month of not having any! And there was an extra worksheet to type!
We have a birthday party for Tater on Saturday and an Awana meeting on Sunday. It should be a fun filled weekend!
I hope you all have a great weekend too!

I know I know I was bad and disappeared again. I really did sit down and open the new post window and start to write something and then something would happen and I never would finish it, or sometimes never even get started!
The weekend was crazy! We ended up working at church Friday night getting ready for the Christmas program on Sunday and I ran through the song that I was possibly going to sing, if I could get the ending worked out. The very last time that I went through it I finally got the timing on the ending.
Saturday K went to work and got off an hour early so we could be at church at 10:30 to work out a mic set up for B so she could play guitar for one of the families who was singing Sunday night, and then practice with the Childrens' Choir at 11. PM ended up playing piano with the family that B was playing guitar with so they practiced after the Childrens' Choir. We ordered pizza and ate at church and had just enough time to clean up before the next group came in to practice at 2. One last practice after they were done and we could go home. I tried to download a song from iTunes for PM so he could hear what he was supposed to be playing the next night but had some technical difficulties since iTunes felt the need to update at the same time!
I ran out of time and had to go and change for Madrigal. K had gone to pick up a snowblower with PM and I left him a note telling him that I would finish when I got home. Ha, they apparently didn't read my note and I got the first phone call asking about it just before Madrigal started. I explained what happened and told them that I would finish it when I got home. Three hours later I get two more phone calls. I get messages from K telling me that he doesn't know how to finish the download and that he had tried but lost the file and thankfully found it again and then in the second message he tells me that he and PM got tired of waiting for C and I to get home and they were headed to church to work on PowerPoint. C laughed and commented about how the guys couldn't live without me for even three and a half hours, and I told her that I felt loved at least, and I would worry only when the phone calls stopped!:)
Sunday we got to church early and practiced with the kids again, they were singing in the morning service as well as for the Christmas program. They did a great job in the morning service! They smiled and sang much louder than they ever had in practice, and their timing was wonderful!! We had a surprise 50th birthday party to go to after church and then back to church an hour early so more people could practice and get amps and things set up for the program. The program went by so quickly and the kids did even better than they did in the morning! I was so proud of them! I was the very last person to sing in the program and I was so nervous when I got up there! I got to the tough part and I had perfect timing on the first half of the last chorus (which that was the one and only time it EVER happened even practicing!!) and I hit the ending! It was definately a God thing! I sang "Let There be Light" by Point of Grace. Such a beautiful song! I looked down when I was finished and on the top of the black metal stand you could see my sweaty finger prints! Couldn't tell how nervous I was ha!
Monday was a busy day with kids and yesterday Tater woke up from nap early and threw a 45 minute fit! Sooo glad that day is over!
Today I am catching up with laundry and if the weather stays nice we will go Christmas caroling for Awana tonight. I'm hoping to catch a little nap when the kids go down this afternoon too. I'm going to need it, the rest of the week looks just as busy!!

Winter has most definately arrived!

We survived the first big snowstorm of the year. I think we may have gotten about eight inches of snow! It didn't help that we had a little rain and ice to start things off and with the wind blowing, it was one of those "fun" storms. The kids got out of school two hours early on Monday, had no school on Tuesday, and then had a two hour late start this morning. The late start this morning was kind of nice, it meant I didn't have any kiddos until ten! I took advantage of that time to get caught up with a few emails and things and put my laundry away finally!
L, T, and Tater enjoyed the snow yesterday. I took them out for about a half an hour in the morning and when K came home in the afternoon we went out again. The snow was almost up to Tater's waist and he was trudging along and kept telling me, "I stuck"! We baked cookies for snack, and their only complaint for the day was that I didn't have any hot cocoa when we came inside after playing in the snow! Can't please 'em all, I guess!
We helped a friend get her new laptop set up and some programs downloaded on it on Monday night and last night we went and worked at church to finish setting up the Awana store. I will try to remember to bring my camera and get pictures! The store is AMAZING! Our storekeeper does a great job and has spent time every day this week getting it all set up. For alot of the kids this is their only time to go Christmas shopping, and they can get their gifts wrapped and everything. Thankfully the storm won't keep us from having store!
Tomorrow brings the basketball games that were supposed to be last night, but were moved due to weather and Saturday will be a full day with Christmas program practice, cookie baking, Madrigal, and going over PowerPoint with PM for services Sunday morning! I'm glad that Friday is looking a bit slower, I'll need that time to type up the PowerPoint!
I suppose I should go and put that next load of laundry away, I wish there was some sort of machine that would put it away for you too, not just wash and dry it!

Here I am again!

Yesterday was a bit of a crazy day for a day that I almost had off haha! The kids were good, there was just alot to do! I sat down to blog about five times and the phone would ring or the kids would need something...after Awana I was exhausted so I didn't get a post in at all, and boy I missed it!
Today has been a pretty quiet day. I finally pulled out the jump drive that we got during our Black Friday shopping and started putting all the pictures and things that I wanted to save from one of my MSN groups since they have decided to close their groups in February. I started an MSN group for storage when I first started doing things with Paint Shop Pro, back before I knew about jump drives.
Now that I have that done I will be back to work on the project with the hymnal indexes. It is a big project, but I am enjoying it.
Tonight we are going to watch BC play basketball and then M has a concert after that. That is if Miss A leaves on time. Last night her parents were a half hour late to get her and her brother. It wasn't a big deal, but just kind of a pain. I hate being in a rush!
